Here's a cool tip and a great way to save a few bucks: Barnes & Noble recently opened their online magazine store. I decided to check it out and see if they happened to have Filemaker Pro Advisor available. Sure enough, they do! And best of all, it is heavily discounted. A one year subscription (to the print version, which includes 6 issues) is $49 (and only $44.10 for B&N members). Compare that to the $89.99 list price!

The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) has announced the winners of its 2008 CODiE Awards, and FileMaker Pro 9 was selected as the "Best Database Management Solution."
The SIIA is the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry. The SIIA was originally the Software Publishers Association (SPA), which established the Codie Awards back in 1986.
FileMaker Inc. has a long history of winning the prestigious CODiE award. It won back in 2005 for FileMaker Pro 7, in 2004 for FileMaker Pro 6, in 2003 for FileMaker Pro 6 Unlimited, in 2001 for FileMaker Pro 5 Unlimited, and in 1999 for FileMaker Pro 4.
Congrats to the FileMaker Inc. team for another win!
